It was a great 1st day of our new car rider loop! As a reminder, when you pull into the new loop continue to form two lines. We willl merge into one line as we approach the main door. This will ensure we do not block traffic and can call names quickly. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. See you tomorrow!

Thanks for your patience this morning! We had a great arrival with the new loop. This afternoon, remember only Early Childhood parents will turn in the first loop by the school sign. All K-5 parents must use the new loop located past the staff parking lot. Please, no cell phone use for safety reasons. See you soon!

The new car rider loop opens tomorrow! Traffic Tip #3-Once at the main entrance for arrival and dismissal, please pull forward and be patient. With a new process more time will be needed the first few days. It will get faster and we will be better neighbors to our community by not slowing traffic. See you tomorrow!

Chicot's got talent! Special thanks to our pARTers Afterschool Program and teaching artists! As part of their culminating experience, scholars showcased their talent in a collective collage and demonstrated their skills in film. Kudos to all for making this a success! 🎨🎬

Good Afternoon Chicot Families,
As a reminder, on Monday, April 22nd, our new elementary car loop opens for use. An image of the new traffic flow is attached. Below are some key reminders to ensure the safety of all students and families:
1) All families of K-5 students will use the new loop for drop-off/pick-up. To enter the new loop if you are making a right turn (traveling southbound), you will need to be in the left lane. The right lane traveling south merges to one lane and ends before the new loop. The left lane will provide the easiest access and will avoid the need to merge into traffic.
2) The new loop is one-way and has two lanes. We will use both lanes to ensure we are not blocking Chicot Road and will merge to one lane near the Chicot Health Clinic. We will continue to use only one lane to load children at the main entrance/front sidewalk.
3) As a reminder, at arrival only families walking into the school with children or attending a meeting should enter the visitor parking lot. The visitor parking lot cannot be used as a drop-off area. At dismissal the visitor parking lot cannot be used for pick-up and will not be accessible.
4) Families with students (3 & 4 year olds) in the Chicot Early Childhood Center, may drop-off their elementary student at the same time as their ECC student. The elementary student will walk down the steps and enter the elementary main entrance. At drop-off ECC parents with elementary students may wait at the top of the steps for elementary students to be called for dismissal. The practice has been in place all school year and will not change.
5) Families that do not have ECC students should not enter the ECC lot and must use the new loop for pick-up.
6) Please drive slowly to ensure the safety of students/staff and remember, cell phone use is prohibited.
Please note that only families of early childhood students (3 & 4 year olds) will continue to drop-off/pick-up as they have all school year. While all families of elementary car riders (K-5) will use the new car rider loop, students will still be dropped off/picked up at the same main door for elementary. We will simply use our new and improved route to get to the same location. Thank you in advance for your patience during this transition. If you have any questions, please call (501) 447-7000.

Thank you to Matthew L. and Layla T., members of @Ballet Arkansas, for offering ballet lessons to the students in the 21st Century Program. Their dedication and expertise made a remarkable impact.
