Let’s turn Chicot GREEN! 16th Tuesday All Day First Security Bank Deposits & Merry Sweater Day First Security Student Bank will be on campus for student deposits starting at 8:30am. Bring out your brightest, funniest, or most outrageous holiday sweater. The sillier, the better. 17th Wednesday 8:30AM–9:30AM English Classes & Santa’s Workshop Day A weekly English class that helps parents build confidence in reading, writing, and everyday communication. Come as Santa, an elf, a reindeer, or any of the crew working at the north pole. 18th Thursday All Day Holiday Lights Day Let yourself shine. Wear red, green, white, gold, or silver and light up the school. 19th Friday 7:30AM Middle School Parent Meeting & Winter Celebrations Parents are invited to attend our Middle School Informational Meeting to learn about upcoming expectations and important updates for 5th grade students. Students will celebrate the season with fun Winter Celebrations hosted in their classrooms. Students may wear their favorite school appropriate warm pajamas. Tuesday, December 9 Winter Wonderland / 2nd Grade Music Program 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Join us for Math and Literacy Night. Families can enjoy the 2nd Grade Music Program, a special performance by the Chicot Stars Choir, a magic show, hands-on learning activities, and a free book and dinner for every child. Wednesday, December 10 2nd Grade Music Program 8:30 AM The second grade classes and the Chicot Star Choir will present their Holiday Music Program at 8:30 AM in the cafeteria. Wednesday, December 10 English Classes 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM A weekly English class that helps parents build confidence in reading, writing, and everyday communication. Saturday, December 13 21st Century Program 8:30 AM to 12:45 PM All students in the 21st Century Afterschool Program are invited to attend the Saturday session. Please send your child with lunch and a snack. We’re excited to kick off our first English class at Chicot Elementary. Session One will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Chicot cafeteria. Families will get the chance to practice everyday conversation, build helpful vocabulary, and learn phrases they can use at work, school, and in daily life. Winter Wonderland is almost here! Make plans to attend Tuesday, December 9th, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Our 2nd grade choir and 4th & 5th grade Chicot Stars Choir will perform. We will also have math and literacy games/resources for families, grab and go dinner, and our Scholastic Book Fair! For a special treat, enjoy a Magic Show with Tommy Terrific and receive a free book for every child! It will be a fun-filled night and we want to see you!

The Book Fair is finally here! beginning tomorrow morning, kindergarten through 5th-grade students will get a chance to come and visit the book fair, but don't worry, we want Pre-K parents and students to visit too! The book fair is a great place to pick up any early presents you may need! Our students had the exciting opportunity to meet author Wesley Peters, creator of Bullies. He captivated our students with his storytelling, shared powerful lessons about kindness and accountability, and encouraged them to use their voices in positive ways. The cafeteria was filled with curiosity, great questions, and lots of inspiration! Thank you, Mr. Peters, for pouring into our students and helping them think deeply about their choices and the impact they can make.

Chicot Elementary is honored to be able to support our school community once again this Thanksgiving season. This year, we will be providing 100 turkeys/hens and 100 food boxes filled with traditional holiday favorites for our PreK–5th grade families. Distribution will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
