Our students had the exciting opportunity to meet author Wesley Peters, creator of Bullies. He captivated our students with his storytelling, shared powerful lessons about kindness and accountability, and encouraged them to use their voices in positive ways.
The cafeteria was filled with curiosity, great questions, and lots of inspiration! Thank you, Mr. Peters, for pouring into our students and helping them think deeply about their choices and the impact they can make.

Chicot Elementary is honored to be able to support our school community once again this Thanksgiving season. This year, we will be providing 100 turkeys/hens and 100 food boxes filled with traditional holiday favorites for our PreK–5th grade families. Distribution will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

If you are unable to attend Tuesday, a second distribution opportunity will be available on Thursday, November 20 from 4–5 PM. We are deeply grateful to the donors and partners whose generosity made this possible. Their support ensures that our families can celebrate this holiday season with warmth, connection, and tradition. Thank you for being part of what makes Chicot stronger!
