Watson Families, This is a friendly reminder that we are currently accepting payments for our Spring Trip to the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The total cost of the trip is $125 per student. A $50 deposit is due by Friday, March 13 to reserve your child’s seat. The remaining balance must be paid by the last week of March. Please see the trip flyer for complete details. Good morning, Watson families! Today we proudly celebrate the culmination of Black History Month with our Black History Program beginning at 1:30 PM. We warmly invite all families to join us for this special tribute to culture, heritage, and excellence. Students are encouraged to wear African traditional attire today, along with the specified dress for those participating in the program. Our students have worked hard to prepare a meaningful and inspiring presentation that you will not want to miss. Good evening, families! We are excited to welcome all of our girls and their special male figures tonight for our Ties & Tiaras Daddy-Daughter Dance. The event begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Attire is as dressy as you’d like — we encourage you to make it a truly memorable evening for our students. Food and beverages will be provided. Good morning, families! Today we begin ATLAS Interim testing for our 3rd–5th grade students. Please help us set our students up for success by ensuring they are present and on time. Thank you for your continued support!

Please review the list of activities happening at Watson this week. As a reminder, we return to school tomorrow following Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Our free dress week has concluded. All students are expected to report to school in the appropriate uniform.

Additionally, we will conduct ATLAS Interim Testing for students in 3rd through 5th grades throughout this week. We ask that all students be present and on time each day.

📣 Family Assessment Night Reminder

Families, this is a reminder that Family Assessment Night is tonight, beginning with our PTA Meeting at 5:30 PM.

This is an important event where we will discuss the importance of spring assessments and share critical information—especially for our third-grade families regarding the state retention law.

Students whose families attend will receive FREE dress-down for the week of February 9–13.

Good morning, families! This is a reminder that our Family Assessment Night will be held tonight, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 5:30 PM. We will begin with our PTA meeting and then transition into Assessment Night. This assessment meeting is very important, as we will be sharing critical information families need to help ensure student success this spring. ✨ Incentive: All students whose families attend will receive a dress-down pass for the entire week next week. LRSD schools will be closed for students Mon., Feb. 2, due to icy conditions impacting bus routes. Employees will report to work: non-school. staff - 8:30-4:00; school-based staff 8:30-3:30 p.m. Road conditions will be checked again Mon. & families will be notified about the status of school for Tuesday.

LRSD wants to hear from you! The Little Rock School District is inviting parents, students, staff, and community members to join upcoming community meetings focused on the FY27 budget. These conversations are a chance to learn more about district priorities, ask questions, and share feedback before final decisions are made. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Southwest Community Center (6401 Baseline Rd). The second meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Henderson (401 John Barrow Rd). Both meetings will cover the same information. Come be part of the conversation as we plan responsibly for the future of LRSD.
