-Students bringing phones to school and using them (violating state law)
-Students who are angry or have their feelings hurt due to inappropriate group chats or social media posts
PLEASE monitor your child's device regularly. These concerns are impacting instructional time.
Moving forward, any device that is being used during the day will be taken until the parent can come and pick it up.

Due to safety concerns, beginning tomorrow, students will no longer be allowed to bring metal cups such as Stanley or Yeti to school. Students may have clear plastic water bottles with screw on lids. Any metal cups will be taken and kept in the office for parents to pick up. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Games are on SATURDAY at 5:00pm and SUNDAY at 3:00PM in the Hall High School Gym at 6700 H. St. FREE VOUCHERS for students will be available in classrooms by the end of the day. Enjoy!

Warm weather is here! Please make sure skirts and shorts are finger tip length! Also, shoes should have backs so children can play safely. February was a really special month at McDermott Elementary. Last week, ten 5th graders enjoyed lunch with Dr. Wright, LRSD Superintendent, celebrating their engagement with Reading in the Rock. We also celebrated Ms. Park’s and Mrs. Jackson’s classes, who tied for the most reading logs and earned a pizza party! #ReadingInTheRock
