Good afternoon , Forest Heights Parents, Because we value you as partners in your child’s education, and in the spirit of transparency, we wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred this morning. One of our Middle School students brought a toy gun to school. The student said he accidently left it in his backpack and didn’t discover it until this morning when he got to class and gave it to the teacher. At no time did the student who brought the toy gun to school threaten anyone. The student will be disciplined according to our Student Code of Conduct. We are grateful the student realized it and gave it to the teacher. Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is a priority for us at FHSA. It takes all of us working together to ensure safe schools, and I appreciate the support you provide daily. If you have questions, please feel free to contact our office. Sincerely, Barbara Kirkpatrick

Good afternoon, Forest Heights parents,
Because we value you as partners in your child’s education, and in the spirit of transparency, we wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred today. One of our elementary students wanted to borrow a crayon from a classmate and reported finding a pocket knife in the classmate’s school box. Another student took the pocket knife to the teacher. The student said he accidently left it in his box and didn’t mean to bring it to school. At no time did the student who brought the pocket knife to school threaten anyone. The student will be disciplined according to our Student Code of Conduct. We are grateful for the alertness of the students who knew to report the incident to an adult. Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff is a priority for us at FHSA. It takes all of us working together to ensure safe schools, and I appreciate the support you provide daily. If you have questions, please feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely,
Barbara Kirkpatrick
