These conversations are a chance to learn more about district priorities, ask questions, and share feedback before final decisions are made. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Southwest Community Center (6401 Baseline Rd). The second meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Henderson (401 John Barrow Rd). Both meetings will cover the same information. Course Selection for the 2026-2027 school year will begin in January. Over the next few months, the Guidance Department will meet individually with all students to select their courses for the next school year. Counselors will discuss with each grade level to discuss graduation requirements and post-secondary opportunities. Each student will then meet with their individual counselor to create their schedule. Each student will bring home a tentative course verification sheet with the courses they selected for you to review and sign. Teacher recommendations, along with student and parent choice, are what counselors rely on to help create your child’s schedule. Please speak with your child’s counselor with questions regarding their schedule.
The final day to make any changes to the 2026-2027 schedule will be Thursday, March 12th, 2026. No schedules will be changed or adjusted after March 12th.
