Central High Course Selection 2025-2026 Academic Year

2025-2026 Course Selection will begin in January. Over the next few months, the Guidance Department will meet individually with all students to select their courses for next school year. Social Studies teachers will bring their classes to the guidance office over the next few months where at that time each student will meet with their respective counselor individually to create a schedule, discuss graduation requirements, and get any post-secondary questions answered. Each student will bring home a tentative course verification sheet with the courses they selected. Teacher recommendations, along with student and parent choice are what counselors rely on to help create your child’s schedule. A power point presentation regarding course selection, graduation requirements, and post-secondary information will be placed in Schoology and on the Central website under the guidance tab. Please speak with your child’s counselor with questions regarding scheduling. The final day to make any changes to the 2025-2026 schedule will be Friday, March 12th, 2025. Per LRSD directive, NO schedules will be changed or adjusted after March 12th.

Below are the dates for scheduling by grade level.

Current Juniors (11th) – Rising Seniors (US History)
January 13th – January 24th, 2025- Guidance Office conference room (individual meetings w/ counselors)
Current Sophomores (10th) – Rising Juniors (World History)
January 27th – February 7th, 2025 -Guidance Office conference room (individual meeting w/ counselors)
Current Freshman (9th) – Rising Sophomores (Civics/Economics)
February 10th – February 21st, 2025 -Guidance Office conference room (individual meeting w/ counselors)
Make-up week for missed or absent students
February 25th – February 28th, 2025

Parents of any newly enrolled, out-of-district students will be contacted directly by their child’s respective counselor beginning in April after we return from Spring Break.
