LRSD is pleased to announce that the District will host in-person graduation ceremonies outdoors for all high schools at War Memorial Stadium this year.

Due to ADH guidelines and to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, NO other end-of-the-year activities will be allowed--to include Prom, Banquets, Baccalaureate, After Graduation Gatherings.

CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL COURSE SCHEDULING FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

LRCH Parents:

            Due to unforeseen challenges regarding access to student/parent HAC accounts, the guidance department would like to insure all parents that your child’s counselor will make contact with each student/parent to make their schedules for next school year.  Below is the timeline for scheduling for each grade level.  Counselors will make contact with each student and/or parent during their specified time for course selection.  Parents are always welcome to contact counselors at any time if you have any questions about specific courses. 

 

Please refer to dates below for when your child’s grade level will meet with their counselor to schedule for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year:

11th grade (Rising Seniors): February 8th – February 19th

10th grade (Rising Juniors): February 22nd – March 5th

9th grade (Rising Sophomores): March 8th – March 19th

ARKANSAS BOYS STATE 2021

Arkansas Boys State 2021 will be hosted virtually May 30-June 4 due to concerns for the health and well-being of Arkansas Boys State delegates and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Boys State is looking for the best and brightest male students that will complete their junior year May 2021; mature leaders in the classroom, on the field and throughout the community who are ready to shape the future of our state.  Read more...

COVID-19 CARE KITS

January 26, 2021

One of our own Central Tigers has started something great this year! Shankul Lohakare, a sophomore, has started a project known as the COVID-19 Care Kits. She has prepared nearly 50 COVID-19 Care Kits using her own money and will be making another 50 soon enough!

CAP AND GOWNS

Have you ordered your Cap & Gown? If yes, you do not have to complete this survey, you can check your current balance by calling 1-800-JOSTENS (567-8367). If you HAVE NOT ordered, you can order online at https://www.jostens.com/graduation/high-school/high-school-products-graduation or complete this survey. Cap & gowns are $33.00 plus local sales tax. Cap & Gowns must be ordered by February 12th. After you complete this survey your balance will be due by March 15th.

VIRTUAL FRIDAYS - BEGIN JANUARY 8

Schools are open on Virtual Fridays - buses will run and the cafeteria will be open. Teachers and students will be working on special projects, missed assignments, and other makeup work. There are no bells or set classes. Teachers will be available for support as needed. No new learning will be introduced.  NRousseau

SENIOR PICK-UP

January 5, 2021

Seniors who ordered a Senior Tee-shirts and a Yard Sign may pick them up at school from 8:30 am. to 3:30 pm. Students, please come to the main entrance welcome desk and ask security to call for me with your name. I will then deliver your item/s to you at the welcome desk.

LRCH BASKETBALL UPDATE

November 18

Central High School wants to be able to continue to play girls and boys basketball throughout the season. With high expectations for safety and security our top priority, we are limiting attendance at our home games to the parents of our players only. This protocol will last throughout the remainder of our 2020 games.

We will evaluate this situation in the beginning of 2021 depending on the current pandemic situation.

 

​No other tickets will be sold to the public, and only Central employees with their LRSD badges, AAA MEDIA PASSES or College Coaches will be admitted.

Beginning September 8, 2020 and each Tuesday until further notice, LRSD will offer a once a week meal pick up for our virtual students. The box will contain 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals. The pick-up times will be 8:00 -9:00 am and 2:00 -5:30 pm at the following schools:
