ARKANSAS GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL ONLINE JULY 5 - AUGUST 1, 2020

Message from Dr. Robin Lasey, Director of Arkansas Governor's School:

COVID 19 has separated us by physical distance but it cannot destroy our shared love of learning and we will not let it take away the special magic in people’s lives that Arkansas Governor’s Schools provides every year.

From July 5-August 1, we will host the first ever online governor’s school.  It will be AGS in its basic form and structure, with Area I, II, and III, impact speakers and movies, 410/610 lectures, virtual field trips, small group competition, and even dorm-like communities and social activities.

GRADUATION ON LRSD FACEBOOK

LRCH Graduation on LRSD's Facebook page  The bridge-lighting event will occur on Friday, May 22, in honor of our senior class.  You don't have to have a 2020 senior to help salute graduates.  Please help us make this a special year for them by sharing congratulatory messages on Facebook or Twitter, using #LRSD2020Grad.  Seniors and their families are also encouraged to share videos and photos, using the same hashtag - #LRSD2020Grad.

IMPORTANT: SENIOR GRADUATION PROGRAM INFORMATION

Seniors & Parents:  Seniors, if you have decided where you will be attending college, receiving any scholarships, or serving in the military, we would like to gather this information as soon as possible for the graduation program.

Please forward a copy of your college admission letter/email, accepted scholarships, or military enlistment to Ms. Medley in the guidance office.  When submitting scholarship or military enlistments information be sure you are sending a copy of the actual letter or a screen shot of the actual letter. Scholarship information submitted must show the monetary amounts.

This helps the guidance department with documentation and tracking of our accepted scholarships to insure an accurate amount, as well as, making sure students are recognized correctly.  Please email Ms. Medley at veronica.medley@lrsd.org or call her at 447-1417 between 8am – 2pm Monday through Friday.
